Contributing towards more Patient-centered Health Technologies and Care
Placing patients at the core of methodological and applied research in health economics and outcomes research is an established approach which is fundamental to gain a deeper understanding of the patient journey and experiences, identify what patients care the most, and what they view as a “successful” treatment outcomes. It also provides insight into the side effects patients are willing to tolerate as part of their care. In the HEOR area, we are committed to promote patient centricity alongside the full technology life-cycle. We consider patient engagement for several aspects such as the design of clinical studies, the understanding of patient experiences with services and the use of certain health technologies, and in the assessment of treatments’ benefits.
