We are committed to supporting health technology development, early assessment and uptake across the entire innovation life-cycle to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

WHAT WE DO

We support technology developers to conduct early-stage Health Technology Assessments (HTA) by collecting initial evidence on the potential cost-effectiveness of emerging technologies and ensuring promising innovations are identified and supported from the start.

We conduct research on optimal evidence generation throughout the whole innovation life-cycle to identify what type of evidence is appropriate at each stage of product development.

We develop guidance on how to improve the decision-making process on the regulation, uptake and reimbursement of new health technologies, for example by conducting research on innovative pricing schemes for drugs and medical devices, or through coordination and support activities to promote the uptake of innovative methods for HTA at the EU level. In doing so, we also contribute to shape the regulatory space around innovative health technologies.
