CERGAS Seminar "Digital solutions and Long Term Care: which impact for nursing homes management and quality of care"
Long Term Care sector, and specifically nursing homes and home care for the elderly, are lacking in the adption of digital solutions. Covid-19 acted as a booster for the spread of some technologies (such as electronic health and social care records, business intelligence systems, wearables and sensors, telehealth and telemonitoring).
One of the obstacles towards a wider diffusion of these tools is a lack of awareness of the benefits and impacts that could be achieved. How then to evaluate the impact of introducing digital solutions in nursing homes?
The seminar will cover two undergoing researches concerning the assessment and measurement of the impact of digital solutions in a group of italian nursing homes, considering several dimensions such as service performance, quality of care and personnel satisfaction.
